Looking For Specific Glaze

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a specific kind of glaze, it's used in modern pottery.
It has a frosted/very matte look.

Can anyone help me with a brand/type of glaze or productname?

Thanks in advance!

Best,

Thomas

Thank you!!

Do you have any idea where i can buy the premixed glaze?

I never did this myself.

Is there an specific name for these kind of glazes?

Best,

Thomas

You'll have to mix the recipe I posted. There are probably similar commercial glazes available, though. Just search for matte glazes.

Those look just like a porcelain slip that I used to make a chess set.  I used it in molds that I made for my son of a medieval chess set,  It was fired to Cone 5 and no glaze, it was very fragile  one of the pieces fell over and the head broke off.  Another idea is that the glaze has been sandblasted.    Denice
