What Size Plug To Use On New Electric Kiln?

There is always some confusion on what size plugs to use on electric kilns-is the plug big enough? Will it handle the amps?

Can I plug it into my house wiring-all these details seem confusing .

This is the plug I use and it has unlimited amps. Its a bit unruly to plug in at first but once its in no worries. This ones a special order model and not available at any big box stores. It best to know someone who is high up in the local electric supply company.I call him a yes man.

Its hooked right into the grid so it never gets warm to the touch.

Check with a qualified electrician to see if you can have one installed nearby.

I ordered mine in white but Ivory color is available

Ask some friends over to help you plug it in once installed-happy firing.

I'm surprised the Fire Marshall approved that plug without a ground?

The marshall could not get over the fact that I had my own tower of power. I think he signed me off so fast as he was afraid that Godzillia would show up soon and start fire breathing the tower wires.

With all the electric questions of late I thought this one on what size plug to use may help some folks again.

Now with a Big Kiln you need a Big Plug. This plug takes three  big persons to put it in the socket at least 4 to get it out.

Notice the  power tower so amps is of No issue.Any other electric issues Neil is your go to guy on this board  but I'm good with the big stuff as seen here.
