pothead69
Hi,I'm looking for a decal supplier for my logos (to apply to the bottom of mugs, etc.) - ceramics and porcelain. Originally I used Bailey Decal but I work a fair bit with metalic paint which can't fire above 720 (ish) and Bailey Decal recommend their decals work best when fired to 800C.Does anyone have any recommended decal suppliers they use or know of.Many thanks! Callie Beller Diesel
Where in the world are you? We get people from all over, so supplier suggestions will depend on your location. But just as an initial question, why not do your decal first, before the metallic paint?
Pugaboo
I second changing the order in which you do things. I fire from hottest to coolest for design work, not counting the bisque fire. Glaze fire is the hottest, then transfer fire, then overglaze firing. Is it possible to change your work order? I have included the logo I fire using laser transfers into the bottom of my pieces. It's cheap for me since I already have the printer and the transfer paper, I can decide to tweak or change my logo whenever I want and I can even do custom logos for customers like Pug Rescue groups.
