scottbrush
Hello - my local retailer is out of zinc oxide...is the zinc oxide that I can buy on Amazon the same thing? It appears to be sold for people who want to make their own sunscreen (?). Thank you!
glazenerd
Scott: It is USP grade zinc oxide, which usually runs 4-5 times the price of standard zinc oxide. I have tested it, it does work, and it does give a very high glossy finish. However, it does not like temps over cone 6. You do not state at what cone you will be firing, so there is no recommendations I can offer. Several zinc oxides available in the pottery biz: some work better at cone 10, and others at cone 6. Perhaps a bit more info first. Nerd

Mark C.
I have never bought ceramic glaze materials from Amazon. Is there clay retailer selling there? Or is this pharmaceutical materials?
Pres
At that price I would find a retailer a little further away and have it shipped-cheaper! best, Pres
