Hi all,

I'm just in love with this look and wonder how it's achieved: with underglaze over a white glaze? dipping a powdered (undiluted) mason stain over the wet white glaze? with drops of water on underglaze applied over wet white glaze? a cobalt oxide wash? Anyone??
Thanks! :)

Diffusion. Look up Mocha Diffusion and you will read about the general technique. It looks like they likely used cobalt carbonate with vinegar applied to wet slip. I like this technique too. Looks like the banding wheel may have been used for the edge. There actually is a water colour effect but it involves highly toxic materials.
