just looking since it was a rainy day, i found some wonderful examples of pottery i have not seen before.  if you want some visual candy also, try Davis Vashon Gallery and follow the Bunch of Potters info shown there.  see Kristy Jo Beber's work and all the other people who work in various ways to create beauty and fun.

Pinterest is another good source for inspirations.

I'm always on pinterest looking for inspiration or creating my mood boards. I love it. Here's my ceramics board if you want to see! I'd love links to others too. :-)

I follow several pinterest pins. One of my favorites is cone 6 glazes, then there are pins that I have done of chalices and patens, teapots, and functional ware in general.  Then again, I have others that are ceramic sculpture and decorative pottery. I often find myself crossing ideas by considering textures form sculptural forms in thrown forms. Trying to de order my thrown forms for a more loose look that is not contrived.

best,

Pres

In the old days (like really old days), one gathered/found inspiration from walking through the woods, along the shores -- Wordsworth, Thoreau, etc. How far we've come. ;)

I still do that, but not at 2am when I can't sleep..................
