Dinah Posted August 16, 2011 Report Share Posted August 16, 2011 I'm visiting Japan in Sept to attend opening ceremonies and events at ICF Mino, Gifu pref nr Tajimi City. Landing in Narita so I can get in a visit to Mashiko. Also wonder if anyone has any thoughts on my including Kasama. Arr 12th and overnight stay in Narita then on the move with my JR Pass. Have to be at Mino on the 15th. I visited several times in the 60s and only wish to visit kilns and potteries this trip. Thanks in advance for taking time for any thoughts and tips. I think I might base myself in Nagoya and take day trips out and about. I've downloaded kilns and potteries info and used trip planners for trains and routes; also using Penny Simpson's book which I know is out of date as there have been some prefecture and town amalgamations, but still a useful reference with potters language and maps and so forth.
