docweathers
I have John Britt's book Mastering mid-range glazes and love it. I would like to look at some of those glazes in Insight but I really am NOT excited about hand entering them. Does anyone know of a source of his glazes in .XML format so that can be easily uploaded into Insight?

High Bridge Pottery
Looks like you might have to do some data entry. Depending how you find things it could be quicker to edit one .xml file and create all your recipes that way.
Joseph Fireborn
It only takes a few moments to put a recipe into insight, are you having difficulty with it or something? If so lots of us here would be willing to help.
bciskepottery
Sounds like a terrific summer job opportunity for a neighborhood junior or senior high school student. "Look, Mom. He's paying me to work on the computer!"
High Bridge Pottery
My mum used to bribe me to type up all her work as I could probably manage in 10 minutes what would take her 1 hour to type. I am not surprised these files are not readily available as then you don't need to buy the book
bciskepottery
John Britt is an advocate of glaze recipe sharing; the recipes in his book are his own as well as those he has collected from others. I suspect there is no standardization between the various glaze software packages out there so even if the recipes were available in xml format, they would not be transferable/interchangeable between packages. And, there is not likely a strong enough base among any one of the packages to make putting them in xml format profitable to a person.
Chantay
Larry, Many of the glazes are already in Insight. They are sometimes under a different name. I was just discussing this with someone at the forum. You often have to search thru several listings by cone or color to find the exact recipe. I don't think it will be long before they are all in. I was searching for a specific Temmoku. Found it listed under Tenmoku.
