Lucille Oka
was thinking of getting a few cinder blocks and maybe throwing a piece of canvas across the top to dry slops. Anyone try anything like this? I presume you will be putting this outside. A cotton cloth with a finer weave would work better; something like a large kitchen towel (not terry cloth) or a piece of bed sheet on a stack of old newspapers. You can gather up the corners and tie them up so that debris and critters will not fall on the wet clay. If your newspaper stack is thick enough you won't need cinder blocks. A lot of water will come out of it and scraping off the clay when it's ready to be worked will be easier.
Ben
That should work just fine. Cover over the top if you are outside. Lots of mother nature can get in there if not.
