where is the kiln. pls post your question on In the Studio. you'll get more responses. It should not be fired in the classroom without ventilation/exhaust.

The kiln is in a separate room with lots of windows so it should'nt be a problem

I have been a typical corporate woman-called it quits to immerse myself in the world of clay.i,somewhat was surprised to realise that medium of clay always fascinated me.Though a self taught had just started to explore.it seems with just one stroke my life changed forever and here am I that makes me happy.Me grateful to be in this forum to explore and learn!

Spent all morning breaking up pallets and feeding the fire. We put last week's pots into altar fires, put the altar fires onto the embers of a big fire and piled wood on top, and kept on piling it on. Left it to die down and cool and wow, we had pots. Mine (the thinnest) broke but the thicker ones were fine. Everyone was delighted, now they want o play with real clay
