Just when I thought I was safe to resume the new element installation on my kiln, the little neighbor boy comes over hoping for his second lesson on wheel throwing. Bless his 7 year old little soul.....Now I'm WAY behind schedule!

Digging the new forum on equipment. We're hoping this will help keep things clean and neat, like all of our studios :)

It is a vicious cycle. The more you know the less you know the more you need to know.

I'm thinking about demonstrating at Ft. Yargo, GA March 28th. Just have to work out several details, such as dog care, pottery, and crossing state lines. ;)

As log as you have a valid US passport, Georgia officials will probably let you cross the state line...greeting a highway patrol officer with "War Eagle" might keep you away from your dog for a bit longer. *grin*

Lmao! "Dog care" is the first thing on your agenda. You sound like me, only replace "dog" with "zoo." :D

spent a dreary day reorganizing kiln shed , and one corner of the studio.Threw some saggars, and recycled some clay. Made chicken soup just because so many people have the flu. I made it just in case..

I like hot chicken soup on a cold day when I'm healthy. Soup loses it's
taste if you have the flu...might as well be drinking rock soup! When I
go to any store and hear someone coughing up a left lung on isle 3, I leave.
If the food is free, it isn't worth 4 weeks of influenza. Let's break bread
over a homemade ceramic bowl of soup while healthy.

I think Tyler Miller is the resident ancient pottery expert in these parts but he doesn't seem to be around right now. Sure he would know about firing egyptian stuff.

When I have 10 hours sitting in front of a computer with 3 hours containing any kind of work you get a lot of time to read... Still they pay me to teach myself ceramics so I am happy :D

Hope to get down to the Valley for one of your workshops. Please keep us informed as to what, when, where, etc. I think I could get a group from Rockport to make the trip or what do you charge to put on a workshop? Maybe you could come up here?!?
