Come visit my place please. I could use some organization! Chaos out there right now. First thing I plan on doing when I get back out there is clean and reorganize.

It's shear self-preservation-lack of containment makes me crazy! I even used some masking tape to put labels on shelf edges to keep me "honest"-plus I just plain forget where I get stuff from. Old Lady-great tip-thanks! Appreciate all the comments. Well, I appreciate everything about this site!

It really does look good Lee. You inspired me to rethink my little space. Been measuring and going to rearrange slightly.

I have two weeks till Open Studio and I think I'm getting sick! :( :( I have 26 mugs and several other pieces wrapped in plastic, waiting to be handled and carved, as well as 40+ other pieces that are dry and ready to be fired.

I'm hoping hoping hoping it's just super bad allergies from all the wildfires around us. No scoping, vitamins, chicken soup, and lazed on the couch watching cartoons with my son.

last trip was to 50th HS reunion, family reunion, last sorting of my deceased mother's things including 5 huge boxes of photos , mostly from her family from W.Va. taken from the mid-1800s to 1930s. Included some tin types.I hope to use the images in some art or image transfers. They are beautiful photos.

Have you been to the doctor? I thought I had a bad head cold. It was two days before Xmas so I thought I would see my doctor before the holidays. Turned out I had pneumonia. Had to skip Xmas.

I go to the hospital a few times a month to see my blood doctors. They do nasal lavage and test it for everything. Clean so far. I have no idea what it is. It is almost over though. Ready to get back out there. I have been doing a lot of glaze study and reading.

Getting ready to test some underglazes in a cone 05 fire; the completed studio reorg is downright inspiring-I can find everything and have more working space!

I buy bamboo kitchen tools, cut off the handles and make ribs of them. Spoon rib is great for bowls.

The easy way to get beautiful pottery is to buy it from someone else.

Easy but not challenging. I have discovered that needing to be challenged all of the time is a character flaw of mine.

If you don't have easy access to a tile saw, contact a local tile contractor/installer and ask them to cut it for you. A diamond dry-cut blade in a skillsaw will do the job too, but the blade can be pricey for a one shot project.

Isn't that the best.......... I get that with about 95% of my test. There is always a single gem if you look hard enough in the sunlight.

The reason I took candy out of my studio: was nibbling on it instead of my nails. Nails have fewer calories.

Plan to do some smaller trips this fall, Christmas and be in the house by end of Jan.
    with dogs and cats.
Husband is staying behind til the house sells and he retires. He'll visit as often as he can.
