I just posted a gallery of pictures of Friday's display. I welcome feedback! There are lots of things I'll do differently next time.

So this is just my opinion, I think your shelves are too high. I know they are nice and all, but I would be afraid to reach up to touch the pots on the top shelves. In fact the whole thing looks to daunting to even get near it to me. I could be wrong, but I bet the stuff on the table got handled the most and the stuff on the top of the shelves wasn't touched much at all. Just my thoughts. You should make a post though about this, so its easier to for others to keep up.

Where I live it's pretty reliably 65 degrees year round, give or take 10 degrees depending on the season. The last couple months it's been 90 more often than not and my little studio is just stifling even with the big garage door and window open. I prefer the ocean mist, I'd rather wear a sweater than sit and bake all day!

I'm with you, Giselle. This heat is a misery. I waited until dusk to throw, hauling my 70lb Brent A out on the driveway and outta that dang garage (which was prolly a good 115F). About killed my back and hands, but I'm a stubborn guinea pig and I wanted to throw! :D Man...65F all year sounds like heaven! And Texas must be hellfire this time of year, Mark! D:

Poor Mark. I know it's so much worse in other places. It really is nice most of the year here. IF it goes below freezing we're talking a degree or two for maybe a few days. We're spoiled, of course, and we whine that it's "freezing" when the temp approaches 50.

This evening is my very first show ever. I'm excited and also slightly terrified! My kiln load yesterday came out beautiful with lots of new designs to sell and my dad helped me build display shelves last weekend. Babysitter is coming soon and after that it's a mad scramble!

Thanks for the follow up. Interesting day it sounds like. I would keep making what you love and just find people who like it.

Running a bisque and a test kiln firing. Cleaning the house and spending time with my son. Can the day get any better?

A heads up, to those up North. There are several kilns and wheels up for bid on Govdeals. Also, for anyone in Arizona, there is a front load Paragon kiln.

Getting pains in my left thumb and thumb pad. And some tingling in my fingers too. Is that carpal tunnel?

Talk to a therapist or google hand exercises to relieve the pain.Stretching individual fingers back one at a time, placing the hand flat on a table face down pull up each finger. there are more.

I had surgery on both hands in 1982. I can get the tingling again but I give myself a break, exercise the wrist bends and finger stretches.
