Biglou13 asked for more information so, here we go: White vase is 16" high and 14" wide. There was no way to fit anything bigger in to the kiln. I actually built it a bit higher and wider because I knew it's going to shrink while drying. For clay I used heavy grog (0.5-2mm) stoneware clay. It's built from hand rolled coils (we do not have extruder) on the throwing wheel and covered with white engobe. No glaze. I love this mixed building technique and if we had a larger kiln, I'd build them much bigger. Black vase is built the same way. This vase is 15.7" high and 11" wide. I used heavy grog (0.5-2mm) brownish stoneware clay. II used black engobe. No glaze.
