  1. I have used a Bluebird Pug mill for the last 30 years or so..............love the pug mill...makes clay that is a wonderful consistency! Not to hard..soft, ready to throw. I always wedge this clay as it is just not ready for use without a bit of wedging. Pugged clay is not as good for hand building...wonderful for throwing and in the extruder for coils added to feet. 13. When my shards are discovered by an archeologist/or Art Historian I hope they comment on the depth of the depth of the glaze colors and the textures that are still and forever on the surface...reflecting the mountains, oceans, rocks, plants. This makes a potter's work timeless and so connected to the universe. (oh, yes, and my beautiful PRIVATE COLLECTION) will also be well cared for, in one piece somewhere else!
  14. I Always hope my work week is only six days...this summer has been extremely busy with orders, so it seems every day is a work day! HOWEVER.....I break my days up with Yoga class in the mornings or at 4:30...coffee with my husband in the morning on the deck and a break at 6:00 in the evening! Keep things in balance physically, emotionally, spiritually and you will be fine working all the time! Hug your family!
