  1. Thank you all for the great suggestions. Did another raku firing last night with better results. Thanks.
  2. Hi all, needing advice on how to increase the crackle effects during a raku firing. Last two times I rakued with a basic clear crackle glaze I got minimal crackles if any at all. I tried holding the piece in the air to cool it down hoping to get it to crackle and no such luck. Any suggestions. Thanks. Joe
  3. Hi all I am a high school ceramic teacher. Does anyone have a good way to teach throwing to a class of 30 students. I only have five wheels and the class is so big therefore getting everyone on the wheels at the same time is impossible. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. We did the "Exquisite corpse" game and talked about creativity and imagination. It was a great success. Again thanks. Joe
  5. Mel thanks for the suggestions, you got my brain churning with ideas. I am looking forward to the "more to come."
  6. Hello everyone, I teach high school ceramic and was looking for new ideas for the first day of classes besides going over the syllabus. Does anyone have any great team building exercises or fun one day clay project to ease the tension on the first day of school? Thanks
