I love this organic piece, and have recently experimented with 'Cheese plant flower cones' by rolling them in slabs of clay, it was quite effective. -

I created this figure when I felt a strong need to be more grounded through meditation and yoga, it felt only right to make a female figure, I myself being female. I also think there are far more male meditating sculptures out there, people doing variations on Buddha etc. I sculpted this out of terracotta clay, and plan on giving it an oxide wash to bring out some of the detail.
