  1. Many thanks, Neil! I wondered about the relays etc. but manufacturers descriptions were pretty vague. I'll check that the a88B is wired correctly!
  2. Hello, I was given a nearly identical Paragon A88B kiln but it is rated for 230 Volts, instead of 120/240V, 25 Amps instead of 25.9A, 5750 Watts instead of 6226 W, and the plug is a different configuration. It must be an earlier or later version. I would like to add a computerized controller to make it easier for me to use. I am looking at the Bartlett V6-CF control board as it is much more reasonably priced than the Skutt wall mount controller. Since this kiln does not use both 120 and 240V this should work, I think?? I definitely would have my electrician do the re-wiring. Any information on the best controller and how to go about the retrofit would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  3. Im wondering how your rehabbed kiln worked? I, and several friends, have had kilns soaked with saltwater from Hurricane Ian and would love to know if there is any hope? My kiln is an L&L and they told me to scrap the kiln due to the salt absorbed into the brick which would turn into a salt-glaze and would ruin the porosity of the brick and also corrode the elements. I would love to find that wasn't so?
